I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were in very poor condition but had a great-sized bath. The service was a bit grumpy, with a local lad trying to outdo French waiters. The location was beautiful, and the dining experience was on par with top restaurants.
The hotel is in a stunning setting with beautiful gardens and a fuller restaurant, making it an ideal choice not far from the Lake District. The rooms, although in poor condition, come with a bathroom containing a good-sized bath. The service was provided by a local lad trying hard, and the dining options offered quality local food and raw fish.
